Five days after the former Congress deputy Shankar Malakar joined the ruling party of the Congress of Trinamool in West Bengal, he was made by the Vice -President of the State Committees. During the connection to TMC, the Vet -Congress of Policy said that only TMC could deal with the challenge of the BJP in Bengal.
The announcement came in the official edition of All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) 9 June. To TMC, June 5 joined TMC. Its entry is likely to improve TMC views in the elections to the assembly 2026.
Mr. Malakar, the main political character from North Bengal, was also former president of the Darjeeling District Congress Committee. While the leadership of the State Congress excluded Mr. Malakar, he said he had already sent his resignation to the President of the MALLIKARJUN KHARGE Congress.
Together with Mr. Malakar, Sabyasachi Dutt was also accommodated in an important post. He was made by the chairman of the North 24 Parganas district. Mr. Dutta briefly joined BJP and after the elections to 2021 he returned to TMC. He is also chairman of Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation.
Senior MP Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar became the chairman of the North 24 Parganas district and became the Secretary General of the TMC State Committee.
Cong. missing direction
“Congress today lacks connections in Bengal and at a local level. I felt that I could do little for people and I was isolated from people,” Malakar said at the entrance to TMC. The 70 -year -old man said the leadership of the State Congress lacked the initiative and the central leadership was soft to the parties that were political opponents of the party in West Bengal.
Mr. Malakar represented the seat of the assembly of Matigaro Naxalbari for two periods in 2011 and 2016 and is a prominent planned leader of caste. Political observers say that his presence will strengthen the trinamool prospects in northern Bengal, especially in Matigaro Naxalbari, the headquarters held by BJP. Former President of the State Congress Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said he was grinded by Malakar’s departure.
Mr. Malakar’s transfer to TMC is the second major shift of the political leader from opposition to the ruling party in Bengal. A month ago, John Barla, MP BJP, joined TMC.
