The opposition Congress on Saturday (March 29, 2025) claimed that at least 140 women were raped and 40 were murdered in the tripura for one year. President PCC Ashish Kumar Saha said that these facts were confirmed by government records.
He criticized the current government of three -sided alliances for Bharatiya Janat for uncontrollable injustice and deplorable conditions for women in the state.
Mr. Saha met former President AICC Rahul Gandhi in Nový Delhi to discuss organizational matters and political situation in the state.
The High Command Congress reportedly recommended him to organize a number of political programs to emphasize the failure of the state government.
On Saturday, PCC President and other leaders gathered here who held a female wing (Mahila Congress) of the party to protest against alleged atrocities on women and lack of policy aimed at authorizing and developing women.
Protest leaders accused law enforcement authorities of the remaining quiet and hesitation to take quick steps against the perpetrators of crime against women.
