“The funds were not only siphonic in the name of the work, but also provided the material for work Raj Constructions, a company owned by the son of Minister Balwant Khabad,” said Gohil.
Congress’s leader said that MGNGA funds were assigned mainly to ensure the employment of rural unemployment, while only a small amount was purchased for the supply of material to be purchased from a supplier offering the lowest price.
“The contract for the delivery of the material was awarded to the son of the Minister, although he was not the lowest candidate,” Gohil said.
Congress’s leader also expressed a shock over the collapse of the Gambhira bridge, who led to death at least 12 people.
He claimed that it was the result of corruption prevailing in Gujarat under the BJP mode.
