Narcotic substances worth 19.8 GBP Lakh confiscated by the municipal police of Mysur were destroyed in the presence of officials in the incinerator in Gujjegowdanapura on Wednesday on the edge of Mysuru.
The statement of the Municipal Police of Mysur said that narcotic substances were confiscated by various police stations in Mysoru City under the Act on Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDP) and is permitted by the Court.
A total of 53 kg and 550 grams of Ganja entertained in 10 different cases of the NDPS Act and 150 grams of Charasia (Hashish) obtained in one case was destroyed at the MS Gips Bio Tech in Gujjegowdanapura in the village of Jayapura, Majur Taluk.
The destruction was performed on the basis of legal procedures without causing environmental pollution. Police Committee of the Police Committee for Drug Drugs and Deputy Police Commissioner (Crime and Operation) KS Sundar Raj, Police Commissioner’s assistant Mohammed Shariff Ravuthar and Police Inspector Mushtaq Pasha were present.
