KK Amarnath, the chief civic judge, expressed concern about the prevalence of trading in society in society, that the situation came to such a passage that not only animals or vehicles were stolen, but people resorted to people’s theft.
On Wednesday he spoke after the opening of the event indicating “World Day against Trading People”. The event was organized by the district administration of Mysur, Zilla Panchayat, the Office of the Police Superintendent and other departments.
Mr. AmarNath, who is also a member of the Secretary of the District Law (DLSA), Mysur, said that people should be aware of the seriousness of the situation and reflect why or how society has reached a point where the day is to mark trading people. This is a worrying sign where society is heading, he added.
AMARNAT, ascribing trading in people lack of education and sexual exploitation, emphasized the need to prevent and explain the legal provisions that such crimes are punished, including the sections of the law and the duration of imprisonment.
Another police commissioner Nagesh said that public cooperation was essential in preventing such crimes and emphasized the growing number of missing minors.
Mr. Nagesh said that in many cases children are traded under the pretext of care, but are later forced to do housework or other forms of work, including sexual exploitation. He urged people to be vigilant and report such cases to the police. “The fight with such crimes is not just the responsibility of the police; all departments must cooperate to solve them effectively,” he added.
Officials from the District Health and Family Social Department, the Ministry of Public Teaching, the Department of Women and Children, the District Unit for the Protection of Children, the Social Security Department and others were present.
