
Minister of Transport KB Ganesh Kumar announced on Monday a comprehensive insurance system for 22,095 permanent employees of Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC).
The insurance system, which offers coverage up to 1 ₹ 1 crore, will enter into force from 4 June and is carried out in cooperation with the state bank India (SBI). The main points of this system include personal accident insurance (PAI) from 1 GBP Crore, Air accident insurance (AAI) Crrore 1 and permanent overall disability (PTD) coverage up to 1 crore, said Mr. Ganesh Kumar at a press conference.
For permanent partial disabilities, coverage of up to 80 lakh is offered. The big attraction of this system is that employees do not have to pay a bonus for this system insurance system.
Help for relatives
The employee’s family with a salary of over 25,000 GBP will be entitled to 6 GBP Lakh as helping in his death. Additions for admission to PAI include assistance in daughters marriage, cases of plastic surgery/burns, help in education of children and ambulance costs.
The insurance system was made as part of the transfer of all KSRTC accounts to SBI, the Minister said.
Computer
Mr. Ganesh Kumar said Ksrtc would be fully computer after 22 May. This allows passengers to buy tickets using UPI transactions and cards in all KSRTC buses. KSRTC will also present smart cards for students’ concession system, the minister said.
Mr. Ganesh Kumar said that appropriate spare parts will be stored in all songs within one month. There are currently only 487 buses in garages in garages.
