Completed 21,000 unfinished 2BHKs in Hyderabad (CURE); selection of the recipient by the end of October

The unfinished works of around 21,000 double houses in Hyderabad (CURE) have been completed. Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy has directed officials to complete the draw of selected beneficiaries by the end of the month (September).

21,000 two-bedroom (2BHK) houses are located in 26 areas under the Core Urban Region (CURE). People living within a radius of five to seven kilometers from the houses should be selected, Mr Reddy said in a video conference held on Saturday (September 19) with the collectors of Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Sangareddy and Medchal districts and officials from the electricity, water and housing departments. He said the previous government had left the work unfinished.

They were directed to secure basic resources, including water, electricity and sanitation supplies, by the end of October.

People who were earlier allotted 2BHKs but did not stay there may receive further notices as the Housing Minister has issued instructions to this effect. If no one responds to the notice, the allotment should be canceled and another beneficiary must be selected, he said.
