Dr. R. Ambedkar Konaseem District Collector R. Mahesh Kumar ordered the irrigation officials to complete the repairs of irrigation channel closures in the central Delta Godavari at the beginning of June to ensure early irrigation water for the next season Kharif. Currently, all irrigation channels have been closed for maintenance.
At the inspection meeting with irrigation officials on Monday, Mr. Mahesh Kumar said that for repairing the irrigation channels in the Godavari Delta, he was sanctioned by an estimated 1.8 CRORE 1.8 GBP.
“In the central delta, up to 145 works were sanctioned to strengthen the channel system in the constituencies of the Assembly of Amalapuram, Kothapeta, Mummudivaram and Razole,” said Mahash Kumar.
