Daily commuting from Nagasandra, Hearaghatt’s main road and 8. Mile urged Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) to set up a satellite bus stop along the Tumacur road and provide the right passengers not premiere shelters. They complain that the absence of such a device forces them to either travel to the KEVEGOWDA bus station on Majestice, or to wait at open roads without basic equipment.
Painful travel
For residents of rapidly growing neighborhoods such as Nagasandra, Goragunepalya, Jalahali Cross and Hessarghatta Main Road, traveling a long distance bus.
“Ironically, there are people who remain in Nagasandra or around Ikea and want to travel to Hassan, Shivamogg, Hubballi or other northern Karnataka districts must travel to Majestice to catch the KSRTC bus,” said Niranjan Raj Urs, Nagasandra.
He explained that the morning journey itself is tiring. “It takes a good 40 minutes to reach KBS and 45 minutes to get to Parle toll if you even get a bus in time. After 8:00, the travel time is just getting worse.”
According to him, the lack of a well -functioning satellite bus stops around Jalahalli Kříž or Dasarahalli forces passengers to wait for crowded road stops such as Goragunepalya Outer Ring Road, Mile or Jalahali Cross. “People simply chase buses on board and have no seats that should use. Thanks to the free bus scheme, the rush has deteriorated. We need the right satellite bus terminal to avoid punishing commuters with painful travel,” he said.
Call for better planning
The inhabitants claim that the decentralization of long -term bus operations is necessary to relieve majestic and mitigating urban traffic.
“Only premium or reservation buses will stop near our locations. Other buses are not, and we have to go to majestic. Bombai, Pune, North Karnataka and Tumacura, if the KSRTC should end, we have to be Namma and use Namma.
Manjunath K., the inhabitants of Kirloskar Layout Off Hesaraghatta Main Road, said: “There should be a satellite bus stop around Peenya for buses heading to Shivamogg, Hassan, Mangalur, Mangalur.
Loss of investment?
In 2014, the Basaveshware bus terminal, located in Peenya with many fanfares, was inaugurated in 2014. Approximately 140 bus plans for North Karnataka, such as Davangere, Shivamogg, Chitradurg and Tumacura, were originally moved from majestic to the new terminal. However, the bad patrons of passengers quickly turned him into an unsuccessful experiment and forced the KSRTC to restore KBS services within a few months.
Since then, the 40 GBP-Crore has been largely idle, which is the promise of releasing overload in Majestice on the left. The authorities have explored the ideas for connecting the terminal with the nearby PEENYA metro station, introduced by the published shuttle services, or even created a multiplex that could draw. None of these proposals went through.
