Soon in Perumalpaayam near Thuraiyur in the Tiruch district in the Tiruch district in Tiruchi district, a joint center for printing with the most modern printing and packaging will soon be discovered.
The Brainchild group of about 10 printers from Thuraiyur, located about 45 km from Tiruchi, is based on the support of the state and central governments.
A special purpose vehicle (SPV), Thuraiyur Print Forum, has been floated for the establishment of a device. The forum was purchased on the site of L.25 ACRE in Perumalpalayam, about six km from Thuraiyur, and the construction of a building for the location of machines is underway.
The Center is founded as part of the Micro Small Enterprises cluster development program (MSE-CDP) of the Union Government for 29.93 GBP Crore, which would be possible to buy and build machines. Approximately 20.95 GBP Crore is expected to come as part of the grant under the program, while the state government would contribute about 4.44 crore.
While the state government recently announced the project in the Assembly, the final approval of the project from the Ministry of Union MSME is soon expected.
“The device will benefit hundreds of printers, especially micro and small units located in Tiruchi districts, parchment, Namakkal and Karur. Thuraiyur is centrally located in these districts and easily accessible. Chennai, “he added.
Advanced
The device would have advanced, digital, offset, laminated and packaging machines based on AI, including hi-tech six-color offset printing machine with coater. “We will have high capacity/speed machines. Many small units cannot get large orders because they cannot afford to buy such machines. Now they can use our machines to make large and high quality orders,” he added.
“We started our research trip in 2019 and we conducted several visits and studies of exhibitions. We signed a memorandum of understanding with the state government during global investors who met the 2024.
The facility would generate direct employment to about 100 persons and indirect employment/benefit for thousands. The forum expects to start operation in the facility by July. The center would represent a solar energy system of 200 kW, which meets the main part of its energy requirement about 300 kW, said Mr. Tholkappian.
The common device would provide access to the latest technological progress of a large number of small print units, said M. Ramalingam, CEO, District Industrial Center (DIC), Tiruchi. Dic, he also said, also working on promoting various other clusters in the district. “Such devices are needed between different clusters, including the production and food industry, in the district,” he said.
