
On Tuesday, NLC India Limited (NLCIL) handed over 39 students who completed diploma courses in mining engineering from Annamalai University. Students come from projects of affected villages (PAP) in the district of Cuddalore.
According to a press release, the university signed a Memorandum of Understanding with NLCIC for two -year apprenticeship training with students who took a course in the company, in addition to expanding employment for deserved candidates.
CG Saravanan, Director of Mining Engineering Program, Annamalai University said that up to 220 students completed industrial training in NLCIL and more than 100 gained permanent placement in various features such as Inspector, Overman and Sirdar.
NLCIL also inaugurated the newly introduced engineering laboratory and Link Road on the University area as part of its Social Responsibility program (CSR). Director of NLCIC-CUM-Managing Prasanna Kumar Motupalli and Human Resources Samir Swarup.
