In order to strengthen public readiness and raise awareness of civil protection, the district administration of Eluru will perform false exercises throughout the district in accordance with the rules of civil defense set by the Ministry of the Interior of the Union.
The district collector Eluru K. Vetriselvi organized a teleconference on Wednesday with officials, revenue, fire, medical and other emergency services departments regarding the Civil Drill initiative.
Mrs. Vetriselvi emphasized the need for coordinated participation of all standby services. In particular, it stressed that simulated exercises should be carried out in all major industrial facilities in the district focusing on advanced civil security measures.
She said, “Fake drill reports must be documented with photographic evidence and submitted to the district collector after each exercise.”
It also ordered the Division Officers (RDO) to work with officials in their relevant mandals to extend awareness of civil protection among people. As part of a campaign to raise awareness, she also recommended organizing trials and false programs.
