District collector Annamayya Nishant Kumar on Tuesday (October 14, 2025) instructed roads and buildings (R&B) officials to speed up the expanding work on the Chitvel – Kodur road and follow quality standards.
The collector who controlled the ongoing work near Railway Kodur has reviewed the progress and processing of the project. Suppliers and engineers R&B informed the collectors that 63% of the project – estimated for 35.3 crore – has been completed, with 17.3 GBP released so far. Officials stated that up to 25 culverts and concrete structures were completed about the planned works, 2.7 km of CC road and blacktopping took place.
The collector stressed that the extension of the Chitvel-Railway Kodur road would be the blessing of the people of the Rajamplet division and directly contributed to strengthening the rural economy due to the remarkable presence of gardening plantations in the region.
