Collector challenges parents and teachers to turn students into global achievers

Visakhapatnam District Collector M. Abhishikth Kishore on Friday appealed to teachers and parents to nurture the students of the district into globally recognized achievers and responsible citizens.

Attending the Mega Parent-Teacher Meet 4.0 at Zilla Parishad High School, Adavivaram, the Collector interacted with students, parents and teachers and viewed the project exhibits prepared by the students, including a model drone.

He directed the officials to organize a live demonstration of the actual drone for the students.

Mr. Kishore reviewed holistic progress cards, interacted with Class X students on teaching methods and learning resources and commended the school for securing 88% pass rate. He also noted an increase in the number of students enrolled from 453 last year to 490 this year.

The collector later distributed study materials, certificates and souvenirs to the deserving students and shared lunch with them. He also secured support for the installation of CCTV cameras in the school.
