District Collector NTR G. Lakshmisha inspects LPG filling and stock at the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) plant at Kondapalli near Vijayawada on Friday.
District Collector NTR G. Lakshmisha visited Indian Oil Corporation Limited’s gas filling plant at Kondapalli on Friday and asked officials about the LPG stock position.
The Collector reviewed the availability of LPG and gas cylinder supply in filling units and agencies along with Revenue Divisional Officer and Civil Supplies Department officials during the inspection of IOCL gas filling unit.
Mr. Lakshmisha said that the daily demand for LPG cylinders in Vijayawada is about 16,000 while Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited together have the capacity to supply more than 25,000 cylinders per day.
“We have gas filling units from three companies and there is no shortage of LPG cylinders. The public need not panic,” the collector said.
He warned that strict action would be taken against those creating panic or selling LPG cylinders in the black market. He also appealed to the consumers to alert the command about Ph. Well 9154970454 if they face any problem in getting LPG cylinders or spot black marketing.
“According to officials of gas companies and gas suppliers, there is no shortage of cooking gas. The public should not believe rumors about LPG supply,” the Collector said.
He directed the officials concerned to keep a close eye on the supply of LPG from the bottling plants and the stock status of the gas agencies.
Vijayawada RDO TV Satish, District Fire Officer AV Shankar Rao and others were present during the inspection.
