
Yoga is a gift that India gave the world, and every citizen must contribute collectively to make Yogandra success, T. Srinivas, secretary of KBN College, said. As part of the “Yogandra” initiative, a yoga session under the common supervision of the Ministry of Physical Education and the SAC unit at KBN College was carried out on Tuesday. 1,500 students took part in the session.
Dr. Srinivas said that yoga was included as part of the academic teaching plan of a university and a timing is carried out to ensure that every student practices yoga daily. G. Krishhnoveni, director of G. Krishhni, said that yoga promotes physical strength, mental stability and internal peace. She also noted that the new national educational policy recommended, including yoga as part of the curriculum.
V. Narayan Rao, administrative director of Hindu secondary schools, stressed that yoga practice is essential for students to be mentally customary and dynamic. Later, the students performed “Suryanamascaras”, “Pranayama”, “Dyan” and various attitudes of yoga.
