
The number of victims on the collapse of the Gambhira bridge in Gujarat Vadodar increased to 13, after two more bodies were obtained from the place, the Vadodar Information Department confirmed.
The Gambhira bridge, located on the Mahisagar River, which connects the central Gujarat with the Saurashtra region, collapsed around 7.30 in the morning, causing several vehicles to plunge into the river.
The bridge is located near the city of Padra in the district.

Police manager (Vadodar Rural) Rohan Anand said that 10 to 15 meters long bridge album collapsed around 7.30 am.
After the bridge collapsed, five vehicles were fallen – two trucks, two vans and authorickshaw – fell into the river. Two other vehicles, which were dangerously approaching the fall, were towed to a safer place, said the collector.

Gujarate Minister Rushikesh Patel said that the bridge was built in 1985 and its maintenance was performed regularly as needed. The exact reason for the incident will be probed, he said.
