The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a cold wave warning for seven districts of Telangana on Tuesday (December 9, 2025).
According to the latest IMD bulletin, cold wave conditions are very likely to prevail in isolated pockets in Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancheiral, Nirmal, Sangareddy, Medak and Kamareddy districts.
Hyderabad and its surroundings will see partly clear skies in the next 24 hours. “Mist and fog are very likely to prevail during morning and night hours. Minimum temperatures are likely to be below 2°C to 3°C during the next two days. Maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 31°C and 13°C,” the bulletin said.
Meanwhile, a total of 12 districts across the state recorded temperatures below 10°C between the morning of December 7 and 8, according to data from the Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS). Kohir in Sangareddy district recorded the lowest temperature in the state at 7.2°C.
It was followed by 7.8°C in Bantwaram (Vikarabad), 7.9°C in Bheempoor (Adilabad), 8.2°C in Nasrullabad (Kamareddy) and Tiryani (Kumaram Bheem Asifabad), 8.4°C in Shivampet (Medak), Kotgiredy (Nizamabad) and University of Hyangabad 8.9°C in Akbarpet (Siddipet), 9°C in Pembi (Nirmal). 9.2°C in Rudrangi (Rajanna Sircilla) and 9.9°C in Kathlapur (Jagtial). The other 21 districts recorded minimum temperatures between 10°C and 15°C. Ghatkesar in Medchal Malkajgiri recorded 10.2°C and Bahadurpura in Hyderabad recorded 13.1°C.
