On Friday, the Indian Coast Guard Adamya was entrusted to Paradip Port, the first in a row of eight fast patrol ships Adamya.
According to the coastline, 51 meters long ships designed by Goa Shipyard Limited have more than 60% of native content, which could strengthen the Indian naval initiative under the Indian initiative.
The ship will be located in Paradip in Odisha, under the operational and administrative inspection of the commander, the region of the Coast Guard (northeast) through the commander of the District Central Center of Coast Guard No. 7 (Odisha).

The ship is commanded by commander Anurag Pandey and has a complement to five officers and 34 staff. “The ship displaces approximately 320 tons and is powered by two 3,000 kW diesel engines to reach a maximum speed of 28 nodes. It has an endurance of 1,500 Nm at economic speed,” the coast patrol said in a statement.
“Adamya is the first ICG ship equipped with a indigenous developed two regulated playgrounds (CPP) and gearboxes offering excellent maneuverability, operational flexibility and increased performance at sea,” he added.
Its weapons include 30 mm CRN -91 weapon and two 12.7 mm stabilized machine guns of remote -controlled remote controlled, all supported fire control systems, the statement said.
The vessel is also equipped with an integrated bridge system, an integrated platform management system and an automated power control system, expanding operational efficiency and automation.
He was commissioned in the presence of the Ministry of Defense Satyajit Mohanta and Yoginder Dhaka, inspector of the General Directorate of the East Coast.
