Andhra Pradesh will turn into a sports hub, said Ravi Naidu, chairman of the Sports Authority of AP (SAAP) during his visit to the P. Ananda Indoor Stadium in Ongole on Wednesday (December 17).
Addressing the media on the occasion, he said, “Telugu Desam Party-led government brought sports policy and gave great importance to sports in the state during its previous tenure of 2014-18. However, the succeeding government neglected the sports sector.”
Mr. Naidu said that 3% reservation has been given to sportspersons in government jobs and employment is given without any tests. He said that nearly 421 sportspersons in the state got jobs in the recently conducted Mega DSC.
