On the occasion of World Diabetes Day 2025, the Department of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, Christian Medical College and Hospital (CMC) will organize an essay and painting competition for school students and a quiz for teachers at Darling Residency, Vellore between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM on October 18 (Saturday).
According to the press release, the essay topics are Healthy Habits Today; Healthy life tomorrow – The role of parents and teachers in the prevention of diabetes and obesity in children.
For the painting competition, the themes are Technology and Humanity – Partnership for Better Health.
The teacher quiz will cover Nobel Prizes, Sports, General Knowledge, General Health and General Science. George Chandy, former director of CMC, will be the chief guest, the release said.
