
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed senior officials to finalize proposals regarding the Telangana Rising Global Summit by the end of this month.
Special attention should be given to the construction of stalls to showcase the progress achieved and the future plan on key sectors such as infrastructure, industry, welfare and health. The chief minister gave the instructions to the officials on Wednesday, the second day of a series of review meetings being held ahead of the prestigious event.
He wanted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other Union ministers to be invited to the opening ceremony of the celebrations, including a global summit planned to showcase opportunities in Telangana. The celebrations are being organized to mark the completion of two years in office by the Congress government.
Officials have been instructed to prepare in advance a list of businessmen and industrialists who will be invited to the summit. Precautions should be taken to ensure that invitees and participants are not subjected to any inconvenience.
The Chief Minister preferred a planned approach to the agreements on investments of large companies, which were to be signed during the two-day event. Officials informed the chief minister that invitations to attend the global summit have already been sent to more than 2,600 people.
They explained the proposals that would be accepted for the various stalls that were proposed to be set up during the event. Mr. Revanth Reddy wanted them to prepare plans in advance for organizing speeches by experts in various fields along with the time slots allotted to each of them.
He directed them to depute senior IAS officers after the events to oversee the arrangements and ensure the successful conduct of the planned events. Apart from this, steps should be taken to organize drone shows and cultural programs to further enhance Telangana’s brand image.
