Guwahati: The Tirupati Devasthanams team (TTD) in Andhra Pradesh met the main minister Sue Bisw Sarma in Guwahati on Friday (August 1, 2025).
Main Minister Assam agrees to allocate land for TTD temple in Guwahati
TTD BR Naida, who led the team, asked for five acres in Guwahati to establish the temple. The main minister appreciated this initiative and agreed to provide the required land.
TTD said the initiative would increase the spiritual atmosphere of the northeast and help promote culture. The proposed temple would also complement the religious importance of Guwahati’s cult Kamakhya temple, he said.
Mr. Sarma expanded the gratitude of N. Chandrababa Naida, his counterpart Andhra Pradesh and TTD for their vision and expressed the hope that the temple would deepen the cultural bonds and spiritual reach throughout the region.
