The Chief Minister of MK Stalin announced on Tuesday that the overpass of Avinashi Road in Coimbatore City, which will start on October 9, will be named after the GD Naida, known as Indian Edison.
According to the official press release, the overpass project was declared 10.10 km in 2020 and May 2021, only 5 % of the works were completed. Given that the government of the Dravidian model came to power in 2021, the project was accelerated and completed. Since Coimbatore is known for innovations, the overpass will be named after the GD Naida, who was a follower of Periyar’s ideals.
Rajesh Dooraiswamy, chairman of the Indian Indian Confederation, Coimbatore, said that the completion of Western bypass, the extension of Coimbatore airport and the execution of the East bypass will allow the entire western region to see multiple growth.
Welcome announcements, Vanitha Mohan, Vice -President of Congo Global Forum, said that the Metro Rail project should also be accelerated because it will meet the needs of public transport.
The Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industrial Chamber, Coimbatore and the Association of Engineering Manufacturers in South India, also welcomed the announcement of the main minister.
