Main Minister Siddaramaiah said on Sunday that the state government will take up the centers on the question of small traders receiving notifications of GST from the Ministry of Commercial Taxes for transactions via UPI. He also explained that the problem would be discussed with the Ministry of Commercial Taxes before deciding in this respect.
“The Council for the tax on goods and turnover (GST) is under the competence of the center. However, the state government will take a matter of the Union’s government and discuss it with the Ministry of Commercial Taxes and decides,” said Mr. Siddaramaiah in Memor.
It should be noted that some of the small and micro traders in the state took advantage of the exemption of obtaining tax announcements on the basis of their transactions via UPI.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Minister of DK Shivakumar asked small traders not to care for notifications related to GST, accusations of the Government of the Union of creating problems for small traders and street sellers by introducing GST.
“The announcement is issued to those who do more than 40 ₹ Lakh,” he said in Hoskote near here, where an event was organized to distribute government benefits. He said, “This is the success of the Union government. Traders may not be afraid. We will take the necessary measures to protect their interests.”
The representative of the main minister said that the state, although the state has appealed several times to the center in the last two years and has been looking for funds, BJP deputies do not speak. “They are not interested in the poor in the state.”
He accused the BJP of not doing enough, saying that the Congress Government was determined to get to Bengalur North District before 2027, and the government decided to prepare the DPR to bring the metro to Hoskote. “We will ensure that it is approved during our term of office.”
Mr. Shivakumar also pointed out that the government took steps to regulate the B-Khat real estate in Bengalur and that the planned tribes are planned over Crore Patta Khatas.
