Main Minister N. Chandrababa Naid on Monday dealt with an inspection meeting on a quantum mission at the Secretariat in Amaravati.
The main Minister of N. Chandrababa Naida told officials at the Monday valley of the Amaravati Quantum Valley to ensure that he would gain a clear identity similar to Silicon Valley in the US and leading a way in quantum technology and artificial intelligence (AI).
Mr. Naida announced that the workshop of a quantum mission, which was designed to implement an investment of 4,000 crore in two phases, will take place on June 30 in Amaravati and emphasized the importance of paying attention to all aspects of quantum valleys with a proper focus on building iconic structures.
Officials said the aim of the mission was to build Andhra Pradesh (AP) as a quantum innovation center, to make the state a key partner in the national quantum mission and strengthen the knowledge economy. The quantum mission would focus on quantum computer techniques, quantum communication, quantum sensing and metrology and quantum materials and equipment.
The main minister would lead the mission together with the IT Minister, the main secretary, IT secretary, Minister of Finance, the director of the mission and the expert committee.
Phase I (2025–2027) would focus on the development of infrastructure, education and research and pilot programs and phase II on the drive of AP towards global leadership, increased commercialization and export skills. The government would soon appoint the director of Quantum Mission, which would anchor IBM.
