Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Saturday (March 21) directed that development work at the Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy Temple in Bhadrachalam be carried out strictly in accordance with the Agama Shastra without disturbing the natural environment of the temple, setting a target of March 31, 2027 for the Phase-I construction phase of the temple.
After reviewing the proposed development plans, the Chief Minister suggested that the work be carried out in three phases to ensure minimum inconvenience to the devotees. He directed the officials to identify the components that could be completed before the next Godavari Pushkaram by preparing a three-phase plan along with detailed estimates. He also emphasized the need to build ghats near the temple in accordance with Pushkaram requirements. Revanth Reddy examined various design proposals prepared in accordance with the land acquired for the project so far.
Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, Ministers Konda Surekha, Tummala Nageswara Rao and Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, MPs Vem Narender Reddy and P. Balaram Naik, Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao and other senior officials attended the review meeting.
