Main Minister A. Revanth Reddy met with Prime Minister Narendra Modim and was looking for his intervention and support in acceleration and provided financial assistance for projects in the area of rail, road and rail infrastructure, semiconductor production and defense sector growth.
He explained that the need to expand the Hyderabad Metro Rail, stated that phase I, covering 69 km in three corridors, was completed by an investment of 22,000 GBP Crore, and there has been no expansion in the last decade. Telangany has now submitted detailed phase II proposals, which assume five new corridors totaling 76.4 km for estimated costs of 24,269 Crore.
The project is designed as a common enterprise between the center and the state, while the Indian government contributes 18% (4,230 GBP crore), Telangana 30% (7,313 GBP Crore) and the remaining 48% (11,693 Crore) increased through debt. CM Reddy urged the Prime Minister to order the Ministry of Housing and urban affairs (I can) to speed up the approval of the cabinet, quoting precedents such as Chennai and Bangalore expansion.
CM also discussed the project of the critical regional circular road (RRR) and asked for the approval of the financial and cabinet for the northern and southern sections at the same time to avoid escalation of costs. He was also looking for support on the highway and railway line, which connects Hyderabad’s dry port with the Bandar port in Andhra Pradesh.
Mr. Reddy asked for central support for state initiatives for the production of semiconductors in the Indian semiconductor mission (ISM), which would not only attract massive investments, but also helped India to achieve its electronics production goal of $ 500 billion by 2030.
He said Hyderabad was now the largest center of “Make in India” in the defensive sector, housing the main devices of DrDO and global society like Lockheed Martin, Boeing, GE and Safran. It required rapid approval for common defense companies. He was looking for an official notification of the Hyderabad-Bangalore defense corridor. Later, CM also met the Minister of the Union Kumaraswamy.
