HYDERABAD
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao said in Bhupalapally that people who have benefited from all the Congress poll promises should vote for the party or else vote for BRS. He also said that CM Revanth Reddy had destroyed the political atmosphere in the state with his vulgar language and chose vulgarity because he had nothing left to show the people.
Mr. Rama Rao also cautioned police officials dancing to the tune of Congress leaders, saying that power is not permanent and those who cross the limits will be dealt with once the BRS returns to power. He said the people of the coal belt should not forget the “coal scam” of the Congress.
Meanwhile, the BRS on Monday filed a complaint with the State Election Commission alleging violation of the model code of conduct by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy during an official program in Vikarabad district, when the Vikarabad municipality is gearing up for polls, and sought action against the chief minister.
In a complaint filed with the state election commissioner, the BRS delegation explained that the chief minister had violated the election code by attending an official function under the ‘Praja Palana – Prgathi Bata’ scheme and distributing checks to 6,650 women self-help groups under the bank linkage component of the Stree Nidhi scheme.
They alleged that the Chief Minister sought votes for the Congress by turning the official program into a political event and making the participants raise their hands in support of the Congress and chant “Jai Congress” slogans. It was a direct violation of the electoral code and misuse of the official machinery by the chief minister.
