The Chief Minister of Pinaraya Vijayan began on Sunday the cultural complex VT Bhatathiripad in Yakara. On this occasion Mr. Vijayan appreciated Bhatathiripad’s contributions to the cultural landscape of Kerala.
He said that the literary works of Bhatathiripad, including dramas, short stories and awarded autobiography “Kanneerum Kinavum”, left an indelible mark in the literary sky.
Mr. Vijayan said that the values of freedom, democracy, secularism and socialism were essential for the survival of art and literature.
“VT and other Renaissance leaders believed that literature and art were based on the basis of material conditions and that they could not stand without a strong base,” he said.
One-lakh sq.-ft. Complex in five acres were built at the price of 68 GBP Crore with modern devices such as audiovisual theater with advanced lighting, sound and projection systems, black cabinet theater, a place for sculptural workshops and a craft museum. It has a garden, a large parking space and a café.
