Main Minister N. Chandrababu Naida asked about the health status of BC Boys’ Welfare hostel in the village of Annaparro in the PedandiPad district of Mandal from the Guntur district, which reportedly became ill with food poisoning on October (Friday) and reasons.
Officials reported the main minister that 24 students are currently undergoing treatment of the Government General Hospital in Guntur and one student who had other health complications was moved to Aiims in Mangalagiri for better care.
Two students were treated in a pedanandiPad medical camp.
Minister for BC Welfare S. Savitha said that the status of students is stable and food and water samples were sent to the laboratory for testing.
Mr. Naida ordered that no student should be released until their health is fully improved and called for detailed information about hostel facilities, food quality and drinking water supply.
He assured his parents that the government would take good care of their children.
