Chief coach Stephen Fleming admitted that Chennai Super Kings (CSK) left Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) ‘Off the Hook’ during the collision of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on Friday, March 28 at Ma Chidambaram. After eight victories on trot in 17 years CSK lost with RCB in Chepauk by 50 runs.
After he was first asked for a bat, Rajat Patidar RCB built a challenging goal of 197, then CSK finished his shifts at 146 for eight. Fleming said that Super Kings were “clumsy” in the field and that the score of around the 175-run brand would be to their extent.
“Yeah, there were a few half chances, maybe one or two, but it was a real opportunity. It was just a little clumsy. They came hard on us, and we really had a chance to use them, but we let them out of the hook.

“Need to be done, it is better to apply”
Fleming also denied any home advantage and said that Super Kings were unable to read the playground in Chepauk. Former New Zealand’s captain said CSK must better adapt to the conditions and choose their team accordingly.
“For years we told you there was nothing like a home advantage. We won the games several times and we were unable to read the playground here. We were very honest – we weren’t able to get a good feeling that we had expected in the last few years that what we had always expected, what we didn’t expect, what we said.

“What we have to do is to apply better and make sure that regardless of the surface, we are in the fight. I do not buy what they say elsewhere. We have firepower throughout the team, but we have to create the right opportunities. Just because we are not cutting the ball from the ball, or rely on the factor of fear.
Currently, it will be placed seventh in the point table, CSK will try to change when they lock corners with Rajasthan Royals of Riyana Parago 30.
