(PTI) Former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen said he would like to mentor Chennai Super Kings, adding that the location of the city will make it easier for him to travel to the Maldives. His comment was in reference to his travel during IPL 2025.The exchange began on Tuesday morning when a CSK fan asked the franchise on social media to consider Pietersen for the role of mentor.“Dear CSK please bring KP as a mentor,” the user wrote.“Yes, please. It’s closer to the Maldives. Easier for me to travel,” Pietersen replied.Following his reply, Delhi Capitals joined the conversation and tagged KL Rahul. Pietersen and Rahul developed a rapport last season and were often seen cracking jokes with each other.

Midway through the season, he went on a family vacation to the Maldives, which became a talking point within the team.
