Several people were injured by clashes between the Indian Communist Party (Marxist) (CPI (M)) and Congress Workers in Kadakkal in Kollam on Tuesday. According to the police, the incident occurred around 17:30 near the bus stand during the protest meeting of the Congress against the alleged CPI violence (M).
CPI (m) Secretary of the Katadimood branch of Vithunven suffered an injury. Secretary of the District Congress VT Sibi; The leaders and members of the Congress Ansar Ahmed, Shemi, Shemeer and Muneer; Members of CPI (M) and Democratic Youth Federation (Dyfi) ARUN, ADARSH, SREEKUMAR and AJITH; They were also injured in clashes. The injuries were taken to the hospital.
According to the leaders of Congress and KSU students (KSU), the clash during the protest against alleged attack on KSU activists during CPI (M) workers (M) during the school parliamentary elections at Paruthi in Kadakkal. Meanwhile, CPI (m) accused Congress’s staff for the release of violence.
The local police registered the case in connection with the incident.
