The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) remained at Jantar Mantar on Monday (June 22, 2026) for the third consecutive day, continuing its protest against the alleged examination irregularities and the May 3 NEET paper leak.

The sit-in, which began on Saturday (June 20) afternoon, continued overnight, with protesters remaining in place under police presence.

Some people were seen distributing food and drinking water to the agitators throughout the night.

CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke announced on Sunday (June 21) that the protest would continue on Monday and called on farmers’ unions and the public to join the movement.

The protest site witnessed sloganeering, speeches and cultural performances on Sunday (June 21), with supporters clapping, playing daflis (dafs) and singing patriotic songs. By the evening, according to the organizers, over 200 people had gathered.

Mr. Dipke demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, saying he was not responsible for the exam controversies.

He also sought compensation for the families of students who allegedly committed suicide after the paper was leaked and the exam was cancelled.

On Sunday (June 21), Mr Dipke urged authorities not to restrict access to the protest site and asked for water to be restored to public toilets. Protesters reportedly disrupted basic facilities, although they later said access to drinking water had been restored.

The CJP said the agitation will continue until its demands are resolved. Farmer groups are expected to join the protest later in the day, according to organizers.

The demonstration is taking place under security measures, with police officers deployed and barricades placed around the protest zone.

This is the second protest organized by the CJP at Jantar Mantar over alleged paper leaks and demands for government accountability.
