A social media user described a disturbing incident during the CJP’s protest in Kolkata. User ‘sajahan_anyways’ shared his experience through a detailed post on Instagram carousel.
The demonstration itself attracted large crowds carrying various political flags. The groups included leftist student organizations such as SFI, AISA and PDSF.
The user then described receiving an unusual Blinkit delivery notification during the CJP protest in Kolkata. Strangely, the message started with the greeting “Hey Mullah”. It said that someone named Shourjya Shikhar Betal placed the order. At that time, the order was allegedly delivered within 9 minutes.

On Instagram, the user revealed that the delivery location was near the site of the protest. It precisely specified “Near CPIM protest site Sealdah, Raja Bazar, Kolkata”. The order itself included a small package of pork bacon. The user noted that this appeared to be a deliberate religious provocation.
“Sending me Pigs with my name like ‘Hey Mullah’ doesn’t make me hate you. It doesn’t stop me from believing what’s right. You shouldn’t have sent it cash on delivery. The least you could do was pay for what you ordered. In this regime, ₹228 is luxury bro,” the user wrote.
“You should have thought of the delivery man (his name was Mohammed). You put his safety at risk. For you, this man had to come to Sealdah all the way from Park Street to find that there was no recipient. Do you know how much he has to pay for ethanol petrol in this economic crisis?” the user asked.
The post criticized the wider treatment of gig workers under current policies.
“And you SHOULD be sensitive, especially when your government has made the lives of Giga workers an absolute living hell…Didn’t you feel an ounce of shame at this mockery?” the user asked further.
The user suggested that the sender’s actions reflect personal unhappiness. They attributed this to what they called “media-driven Islamophobia”.
“I know you are sad with your own life and this is how hating Muslims eases that pain… I need you to know that I hate you. I understand you. And I believe from the bottom of my heart that one day you will change your views,” the user wrote.
“You will realize who actually loves this country and who is selling this country to businessmen. And together we will go to a rally against injustice,” the user concluded.
Finally, the user reached out directly to Blinkit regarding the misuse of the platform. They questioned whether the company knew such harassment was possible. They asked what preventive measures the company could now consider.
“Dear Blinkite, did you know that someone can use your platform to spread hate? Did you know that someone can call another person ‘Mullah’ on your platform? I didn’t know that. Now that we both know, what can YOU do and what can I do to prevent this from happening again?” the user asked.
