CJP hits new milestone: After defeating BJP, Janta Party’s Cockroach surpasses Congress’s 13.3 million on Instagram | Today’s news

Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has reached a new milestone. He surpassed the Indian National Congress on Instagram. Earlier, Rahul Gandhi’s party was India’s largest political party on Instagram with 13.3 million followers.

CJP now has 15.5 million followers on the platform. The most surprising fact is that the newest “political party” achieved this in just four days. His first post on Instagram was published on the 17th.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), India’s ruling party, has 8.8 million followers. Earlier today, CJP crossed this number. Now everything is set to double that number.

However, CJP is not a registered political party in India. It is a viral satirical political movement founded by Abhijeet Dipek.

It was created as a sarcastic response to the remarks of Chief Justice of India Surya Kant. The CJI compared the unemployed youth to “cockroaches” and “parasites of society”.

CJP describes himself as “the voice for the lazy and unemployed”. Its location is listed as “wherever wifi works”.

The manifesto mixes sharp political satire with real demands. Check out his key manifesto promises:

If the CJP comes to power, no Chief Justice will be given a Rajya Sabha seat as a post-retirement reward.

If any legitimate vote is erased, whether in the CJP or in an opposition-ruled state, the CEC will be arrested under the UAPA, as taking away the voting rights of citizens is nothing less than terrorism.

Women will receive 50% reservations, not 33%, without increasing the power of parliament. In addition, 50% of all positions in the government will be reserved for women.

All media houses owned by Ambani and Adani will have their licenses revoked to make way for truly independent media. Bank accounts of Godi media moderators will be investigated.

Any MLA or MP who switches from one party to another will be barred from contesting elections – and holding any public office – for 20 years.

CJP Twitter account banned

In one of her social media posts, CJP claimed that her Twitter account (now X) has been banned in India. The update drew strong reactions from its followers.

“You should consider filing a case in the High Court. If the suspension was granted arbitrarily, it can just as easily be overturned,” the lawyer wrote.

“Which country’s democracy allows foreign accounts to interfere directly in their internal politics? Come up with a factual answer,” wrote another user.

Another user asked: “Why are you all criticizing the BJP? I follow this site because we think it’s for the Gen Z vote. But it’s going the other way.”

“Open another account. We’ll follow you again,” chimed in another.
