Cockroach Janta Party founder Abhijeet Dipke said on Monday (Jun 1, 2026) that he will return to India on June 6 to launch a peaceful protest over Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation over exam-related lapses.

In a video posted on Instagram and X, Mr. Dipke called on Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) supporters and students to join the protest in Delhi.

“Time has come for all of us to come together as per the Constitution and peacefully raise our voice to demand Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation. If we raise our voice together, they will definitely have to listen to us,” he said.

Mr. Dipke also urged CJP supporters to join him at the Delhi airport on June 6. “I will arrive in Delhi on Saturday (June 6, 2026) morning. Join me at the airport and together we will go to Parliament Street Police Station to seek permission to hold a peaceful protest at Jantar Mantar,” he said.

In the video, Mr. Dipke claimed that exam-related controversies and disruptions had created anxiety among students and demanded accountability from the government.

CJP, a youth social media movement founded by Mr Dipko, has gained traction since its launch last month, with many public figures signing up.

Claiming that an online petition seeking the education minister’s resignation had garnered eight million signatures, Mr. Dipke said protests were being held in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Maharashtra against education-related issues.

He also claimed that the exam controversies have affected more than one lakh students, including those appearing for NEET, CBSE, CUET and SSC GD, leaving them worried about their future.

“If the education minister does not resign even after such a massive blunder, it means that there is nothing left as accountability in our country,” Dipke said.

“The time has come for us all to come together, follow the path of the Constitution and peacefully raise our voice to demand the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan,” he added.

Mr Dipke also said his family and friends feared he could be arrested when he reached India, although he still hoped the authorities would allow a peaceful and democratic protest.

“But I still hope that our country is still democratic today and we will be allowed to protest peacefully,” he said.

Calling himself a “great admirer of Mahatma Gandhi, BR Ambedkar, Bhagat Singh and Jawaharlal Nehru,” Mr Dipke said he believed in the Constitution more than anything else.

“And as for the fear of prison, how long are we going to live in fear?” he asked in the video. “So all you peaceful and Constitution-abiding cockroaches, let’s all come together to save the future of millions of students,” he said.

The cancellation and subsequent rescheduling of NEET-UG 2026 due to alleged paper leaks and the row over CBSE’s revaluation process put the spotlight on Education Minister Pradhan, with the Congress and opposition parties demanding his immediate resignation over the alleged shortcomings.
