City students shine in international essay competitions

Students of Delhi Public School (DPS), Nacharam, have excelled in international essay competitions and won accolades both as a team and individually.

A three-member high school team of Rudransh Reddy Kanmanthreddy (14), Rahul Nandy (14) and Srikriti Savitri Kolli (12) secured second place in India in the Harvard Political Review High School Competition, which saw the participation of over 340 students representing 24 countries and over 140 schools from around the world.

Among the individual winners, Rudransh Reddy in India won the second prize for an essay titled “When Inflation Redefines Politics: How Argentina’s Economic Crisis Is Changing Its Political Future.”

Rahul Nandy won the Merit Award for his essay “The Price of Power: How Economic Volatility Shapes Our Political Future”.

Meanwhile, Srikriti Savitri Kolli was the winner of the $500 scholarship in the Lumiere Research competition. She also advanced to the interview stage and was selected for a research opportunity in medicine and artificial intelligence at Yale University. The program also offers the potential to earn credits from the University of California, San Diego, the news release said.
