CII Karnataka Announces Strategic Plan 2026-27
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Karnataka, on Friday announced its strategic plan for the fiscal 2026-27.
The trade organization said it will focus on five key pillars such as growth, resilience, inclusion, sustainability and building trust to accelerate the competitiveness of its member companies.
Speaking at a media conference here, Guruprasad Mudlapur, Chairman, CII Karnataka State Council 2026-27 and President, Bosch Group India and Managing Director, Bosch Limited said, “Under the theme ‘Accelerating Karnataka’s Competitiveness’, CII has focused on strengthening the state’s leadership in innovation, advanced growth and technology.
“Through our targeted initiatives and programmes, we support policy advocacy, ease of doing business and AI-led industrial transformation while equipping industries, particularly SMEs, through our Centers of Excellence,” he said.
Growth mode
Highlighting Karnataka’s growth, he said the state is in high growth mode and has recorded 9.1% growth far ahead of the national average and CII Karnataka expects this pace to continue in FY2027.
Building on this momentum, CII Karnataka would advance its agenda with a sharper focus on strengthening advocacy and ease of doing business, promoting inclusive and balanced growth beyond Bengaluru and enhancing ecosystem competitiveness through capacity building for future readiness, MSME, family business, supply chain, including AI transformation, decarbonisation, energy business transformation and newly appointed water stewards.
CII Karnataka would also focus on learning and development, fostering strategic partnerships and collaborations and supporting internationalization initiatives to drive growth and expand market access, they added.
Future ready
CII Karnataka officials said the trade body’s agenda will prioritize enhancing competitiveness, strengthening global integration and accelerating the adoption of sustainability practices and digital transformation. Together, these initiatives would create a more resilient, inclusive and future-ready industrial ecosystem in the state, they said.
In addition, the services of CII centers of excellence would be expanded under cluster models in areas such as sustainability, energy transformation, digital transformation, skills and MSME competitiveness.
Sam Cherian, Vice-Chairman, CII Karnataka State Council 2026-27 and Managing Director, Schevaran Laboratories, a Mysore-based firm, said, “Karnataka stands at a pivotal moment in its growth journey with significant potential to drive inclusive and regionally balanced development. At CII Karnataka, our priority will be to accelerate the growth of industrial cities-2 and 3-tier industrial systems. Encouraging entrepreneurship and improving infrastructure and market access.
Strengthening SMEs
CII Karnataka has particularly focused on empowering SMEs and family businesses through capability building, digital transformation and sustainable practices to enable them to scale and compete globally, Mr. Cherian said.
“At CII, we remain committed to greater industry-government collaboration and initiatives such as Beyond Bengaluru, and work to support our members to become resilient,” he said.
