Choose a career according to your abilities and interest, the minister urges students
General Education Minister N. Samsudheen urged students to choose study and career options based on their aptitude and interest.
He was speaking after inaugurating the state-level Focus Point, a career guidance program organized by the Career Guidance and Adolescent Guidance Cell of the General Education Department at the Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Cotton Hill, here on Wednesday.
In his first official event after taking over as minister, Mr. Samsudheen pointed out the importance of choosing pathways for further studies based on ability and interest, especially at the Class X level.
Focus Point was held at all 1,680 senior high schools in the state to help students plan their studies and careers. Students and parents were also informed about the aspects they should pay attention to while applying for Plus One single window admissions such as the 46 combinations available in higher secondary education in the state, the higher education options available through each of these combinations.
The event was presided over by Umesh NSK, Outgoing Director of General Education. Shajitha S., Joint Director (Academic) and Azeem CM, State Coordinator, Higher Education Department were present.
