Tech Word News’ Madison Alworth reports on Big Tech’s latest expenditure efforts following Deepseek’s rise during “Morning with Maria.”
China’s artificial intelligence (AI) startup Deepseek has released a new AI model, intensifying its competition with advanced models from American companies like OpenAI.
The new model, Deepseek-V3-0324, received a major update to its large V3 language model, enhancing performance in key areas such as reasoning and coding, according to Reuters. The findings were based on comparative tests published on the AI platform Hugging Face.
The updated model is now available through the Hugging Face platform.
Deepseek has garnered attention in Silicon Valley for its ability to match the capabilities of chatbots like OpenAI’s ChatGPT at a fraction of the development cost.
