The spatter badminton calendar was on Wednesday 17th September at the center of attention, when the Indian Satwiksairaj Ranleddy and Chirag Shetty defeated the Malaysian Junaidi Arif and Roy King Yap in the first round of the Chinese Masters 750 tournament.
This was the second victory of the Indian duo over the Malaysian couple per week. In the quarterfinals of Hong Kong opened 12 September, Friday, defeated Arif/YAP in the quarterfinals of Hong Kong. This quarterfinals ran for more than an hour, while Sat-chi was nervous to beat his opposition in the battle with three games.
The story was very different on Wednesday because Satwik-Chirag introduced the commanding performance to complete his match 1 in just 42 minutes. Although he was pushed hard in the first game, Sat-chi finished working in direct games: 24-22, 21-13.
Satwik and Chirag were much more composed on the day, despite the defense. They tried to find wide spaces in the middle of the court while defending Smashes, but eventually giving away points. Where Sat-Chi was particularly exceptional, he was in a combined game where Satwik built a point with a breakfast from behind and Chirag finished his work.
ARIF/YAP, well-known for its front court, showed some exceptional expectations that he took the first game in the first game, but Sat-chi held his nerves and finished the work of 24-22.
The second game was relatively simpler. Runners in Hong Kong Masters attacked the 11-6 leads early and then won six direct points out of 15-13 to complete the game.
