In recent months, China has introduced several relaxation in a visa process involving Indian citizens. New changes in Chinese visa rules include the elimination of compulsory online meetings, a reduction in visa fees and more. Steps are taken to facilitate travel between countries.
Here are the relaxed Chinese visa rules for the Indians:
No more online meetings: Indians who apply for Chinese visas will no longer be obliged to book an online meeting, which will facilitate a faster and smoother visa application.
Biometric liberation: Indian applicants are also no longer obliged to submit their biometric data if they want to visit China for a short time, which shortens the visa processing time.
Faster processing: China has also streamlined the time plan of visa approval to ensure faster approval, which was smooth.
Reduced Visa Fees: Chinese visa fees were also limited to suit more Indian tourists in China.
Encourage Tourism: The Chinese Embassy in India and other authorities across nations promotes Chinese tourism to provoke more Indian travelers.
India-China Travel Agreement
In January this year, India and China agreed to restore direct air services after almost five years and worked on dealing with differences in trade and economic issues.
The decision came after a meeting between the best Indian diplomat Vikram Misrim and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. The Ministry for External Affairs stated that both parties would negotiate a framework for recovery of flights in the “timely date”.
The tension was drawn between India and China after a collision of 2020 between the soldiers along their border in the Himalayas, which killed at least 20 Indian soldiers and four Chinese.
However, relations have improved since October to alleviate a military distance to the mountainous border, in the same month as President Xi Jinping and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted interviews in Russia.
