President of the Female Commission of Karnataka Nagalakshmi Choudhara said on Monday that children’s marriage is a disturbing area and need to take steps to restrict them.
She said that last year there were nearly 29,000 children’s marriages in the state in the state, and this applies because she is preparing girls about education at an early age.
She said that poverty and ignorance are some of the main causes of children’s marriages, while many parents consider a girl’s child a “burden” and tend to marry them at an early age. Mrs. Choudhary said there were news that parents tend to rush their daughters to marriage for fear of getting into a relationship.
As long as there is a lack of awareness and education in society, the disaster of children’s marriages and other social evil wins, she said.
Mrs. Choudhary visited the Seth Mohandas Tulsidas hospital and interact with patients. She ordered hospital workers and officials to ensure that patients were no reason to complain.
