GITAM High School on Saturday (January 24) organized an event called ‘Little Insects to Help Us’ to teach children about the importance of insects in the ecosystem. During the event, pre-primary students dressed as insects took part in the ‘Little Worm Show’ in the school premises here, much to the delight of the audience.
The program was aimed at inculcating environmental responsibility in young minds and helping them understand the role of every creature in maintaining a healthy ecosystem.
Principal Kinnera Sridevi emphasized the importance of going beyond books and study materials in imparting education. Correspondent Tammineni Venkateswarlu said that the purpose of education is not only to secure jobs but also to develop basic life skills.
GATE College Principal Raja Sekhar and School Correspondent Viswam N. Viswa Chandan Reddy attended as guests and appreciated the attempt to promote environmental awareness among young students.
