Chief Minister Andr Pradesh N. Chandrababu Naida appealed to the Minister of Finance of the Union of Nirmal Sitharaman to assign another 10,000 crore to 10,000 crore for the 2025-26 financial year.
During the meeting, which took place on the second day of his visit to Nový Delhi on Wednesday, Mr. Naida submitted a representation seeking financial assistance for various key projects. He asked the Center to accept Andr Pradesh’s appeal to 16.
Mr. Naida stressed that the state was still struggling with limited financial resources, which influenced his developmental aspirations.
The main minister reported Mrs. Sithaman that while the estimated cost of construction of the new Amaravati capital cost 79 280 crore, it is 44,351 Crore. So far, 26,000 crore has been mobilized.
Mr. Naida urged the center to release other transes of funds as a grant rather than a loan. He also expressed gratitude to the Union’s government for continuing support for large infrastructure projects, such as the Amaravati and Polavaram project.
