Andhra Pradesh will host students from Iit-Madras who want to test their startups, knowledge or ideas, says its main Minister N. Chandrababu Naida.
Mr. Naida, who spoke at the All India Research Summit-2025 summit, was organized here on Friday, said, “Every student who wants to test his start, knowledge or ideas can come to Andhra Pradesh. I’m here to host you.
The main minister said his government was building a “quantum valley” in Amaravati. “We start by supporting Iit-Madras and” Quantum Valley “by Amaravati. I’m talking about artificial intelligence (AI).
“We develop the” Quantum Valley “tower that will reflect the future of computer technology. You will name anything. We will show all future technologies in Andhra Pradesh. This will also be a big gift for India,” he said.
The project would be implemented with the support of IBM, Iit-Madras, TCS and L&T, except the Union government, he said. “It’s the first of its kind in India and I want to encourage deep technology in all areas of life,” Mr. Naida said.
Naida watched the history of the Indian economy after independence and divided it as pre-economic and post-economic reforms, remembered that his representation of consecutive prime ministers resulted in a deregulation of telecommunications, which proved to be a channel. Until then, China had already introduced mobile telephony, he noted.
After independence, it was a great idea to set the IIT. The institutions created about 1 lakh iITians and 30,000 doctors who left the country for work abroad. Since then they have created global knowledge tracks, although it was for India’s brain drainage.
Referring to the global operations of Indian IT companies abroad and foreign companies establishing operations in India, Mr. Naida said: “The British took everything but left English. Traditionally, we are very strong in mathematics and science and English is doing very well in all areas of life.”
The success of India with digital technology through Aadhaar and the digital currency was unique, he said. “No other country has verification as Aadhaar. India has the largest digital track in digital currency,” he added.
“If we all work hard, then in 2047 we can become Economy No. 1 in the world,” he said.
“India is in a good position to achieve this milestone with its young working force as the biggest advantage,” Mr. Naida noted, appreciating IIT-M for ejecting brilliant startups, such as Agnikil Cosmos and Mindgra Technologies on the international scene.
Mr. Naida also stated that his government had taken several major initiatives on the technological front, such as the offer of civil services via WhatsApp and the promotion of the company in real time to the next level by creating a data lake.
He also said that the state government caught up with a revolution of data and that it was in the process that was laid from Visakhapatnam to Singapore to have the best global connectivity.
He noted that Andhra Pradesh had a highly talented and productive workforce that was evident from the expanding global Telugo footprint, and Mr. Naida was looking forward to becoming a progressive state with the support of the central government.
The management of the population
The observation that the low fertility rate in South India was a reason for concern and that the fact that the country was saved only by Uttar Pradesh and Bihar saved the country by adding its population to allow India to reap demographic dividend for decades.
Later, Mr. Naida took several questions from the participants on his vision for Andr Pradesh. He called on prestigious institutions such as IIT-M to help India make their brand in the global innovation landscape. The director of IIT-M spoke V. Kamakoti.
