The Special Court in the CHHhattisgarh’s Bilaspur district (August 2, 2025) awarded the bail to three persons, including two Kerala nuns, arrested for charging people and forced religious transformations, lawyers said.
Sirajuddin Qureshi has reserved the command of the districts and meetings (Nia Court) Sirajuddin Qureshi after Friday on Friday.
The court granted a trio conditional bail, said defender Amrito Das.
The Catholic nuns Preathi Merry and Vandan Francis, both from Kerala, along with the Sukman Mandavi, were arrested at the Durg 25th July railway station, after the complaints of the local official Bajrang, who accused them of violent transfer of Narayanpur and trading with their police.
After negotiations on the bail on Friday, Mr. Das said that the prosecution did not request the custody of the trio for questioning and alleged victims were sent back to their homes.
