Four members of Chhattisgarh’s District Reserve Guard (DRG) were killed in an explosion while trying to clear a gunpowder dump during a search operation in the state’s Kanker district on Saturday (May 2, 2026), a senior police officer said.
The victims were in a forested area under Chhotebethiya police station when bags of gunpowder found in an abandoned Maoist hideout exploded.
